There seem to be good take-out options - eating in the area, small dogs are allowed, there is free parking, travelling with or without small dogs and good take-out restaurants. I have visited this property several times, most recently for a family celebration in July 2004.

As part of the Kansas City Metropolitan Area, Leawood has the feel of a small town, but offers all the benefits of the big cities. If you don't want to stay in a corporate park, you can also take a tour of the new LeAWood's Hotel, the first of its kind in the United States.
When you arrive at the hotel, note that upon arrival in the morning, there is a small sign on the front door that is not readable and will lead you to a specific garage, which is free for guests. If you drive your car, it will become illegible when passing the small signs, but it will not be overwritten when you check in or park. If you have a sign on the object that indicates that a mask is required, you can wear a mask. Don't make the mistake of having to put it on and locate yourself before you interact with anything.
The only thing I can say is that the rooms are large, the beds comfortable and the linens comfortable and all the cleaners I met in the hallway were friendly, helpful and sensitive. You should not expect dog owners or similar to approach us, but a little kindness and professionalism would make a difference. Do not give the impression that your "improved cleaning" or "cleanliness" programme is being carried out adequately.
